Using invisible tables
Using invisible tables
Sometimes it might be useful to use asymmetric invisible tables just to position several text
fields in a document instead of using Tab or Spaces.
The term invisible, in this case, means that the table exists, but its borders are not displayed
or printed. Suppose that a business wants to prepare a letterhead to use for commercial mail.
In this letter they put a logo in the upper left corner, their address in the right corner, and the
other fields that one normally finds in a letter. (See Figure 23.)

To obtain this result, create the table shown in Figure 24, by splitting and merging cells,
adjusting the column width, and modifying the position and style of the text. During these
operations the table borders are visible.
